What happens when someone you love dearly begins to fade before your eyes? In this off-Broadway world premiere, Jennifer Blackmer's emotionally-charged drama chronicles the experience of loss and the relationship between a mother and daughter, and the terminal illness that divides them. Philosophy and physics professor Joy sees life through the lens of space and time, having spent much of it seeking the scientific explanations behind the four dimensions. When her glamorous, lively mother George is diagnosed with terminal cancer and contracts chemo induced dementia, Joy is unable to find any rational explanation for the sadness that engulfs her, turning to hospice nurse Anna for help. An avid knitter with an unusual way of looking at things, Anna may have a thing or two to teach Joy about loss and letting go.
